This week we have been reading Best Mates that was written and illustrations by Paora Tibble and Scott Pearson. We have been learning how to read independent and the page i have been reading is about when Mana’s nan comes to visit Mana and she tells Mana stories of his Nan and her best mate Koro mana. She did everything together and she even taught him how to catch eels together.

Should we wear uniforms at Tautoro school.

Argument

1. Reduce the cost if you pay for a one off initiation uniform fee.
2. Because you have bought a uniform you don’t  you have to keep up with the clothing/shoes trends,Trying to be cool.
3. Because you are wearing a uniform no one will bully you for your uniform.
4. Wearing a uniform gives you a sense that you belong to the school.
5. Safety you can see your school when you are on a trip.

Did you know that if you wore a Uniform it could eventually save your life.That is why I think we should have Uniforms at Tautoro school.

I think if we wore our school Uniforms,it would reduce costs for our family,It stops trend bullying,It stops bullying,You create a sense of togetherness  at school and Lastly a Uniform can save your life.

Firstly,I believe Uniforms help to reduce living costs for Family.For example,It can reduce cost because you only Have to buy 1 pair of clothing  because uniforms have to worn everyday you come to school and you represent your school.It can save you money.You can save money  if you have a uniform.You only have to buy a uniform if you lose your Uniform or if it breaks.You don’t have to keep on buying cloths if your kid bother you.You have not realised that your bank will be empty the day you get your money.

Secondly, believe if you have to wear a uniform you are not wasting money in your kids to buy clothes.When you waste money on kids to buy cloths,doesn’t it bother you when your kids beg you for more and more clothes?

Thirdly,I think we should wear uniforms so people can stop pulling and stealing your clothes.People think that you they can just come up to you and still your clothes and your shoes,but guess what they can’t.If someone walks up to you and tries to steal your clothes,you either tell and teacher or run away from them and tell a teacher.

Fourthly,i think that wearing a uniform can make you look like you belong to your school,so imagine you not wearing a uniform and people thinking you don’t belong to the school.

Lastly,i think wearing a uniform can keep you safe.When people bully your Adidas shoes and would you get angry or tell you mum and dad.But when you are wearing a uniform you wouldn't get bullied.

Did you know that if we got new sports Equipment here at Tautoro School It will make Morning tea and lunch time way more fun for kids plus kids will not have to fight over who had what first.

Firstly, I think that if we got new sports equipment it will make our lunch breaks more fun and interesting how well lately people are saying they are really bored because there is nothing to do, but if we had sport equipment kids will have something to do. Added on to this, it is really fun for kids doing something.

Secondly, I believe that if we  use the equipment in the playground then we will play together. We will play together when we have something to play with and do. When we have sports stuff to play with like a rugby ball or a soccer ball we get along with each other. Getting along with each other on the park and on the fields means less bullying and fighting. Bullying and fighting over a ball or a rugby ball is wrong to do, fighting and bullying is bad. Don’t do it.

Lastly, I believe that sports stuff in the playground is cool and fun because everybody is playing with something and doing something together. Doing stuff together is more fun than bullying and fighting.

In summary, I believe that having sports stuff in the park is cool and fun. Isn’t that the kind of school you want or not? Like I said. “Should we have sports stuff in the park or not? say we should! who is with me!?”

SAKURA and the the new boy.

This week I have been reading Sakura and the New Boy,it is written by Kimberly Weinberger . The type of book this is a Non-fiction.This book is mostly about Sakura and the new boy are having a card battle,in chapter 5 Sakura started down at the costumer Madison  buy Thunder cards to fight Sakuras friend Micky.

My favorite  part was when  Sakura said”It’s not pink” in a funny voice and Sakura and the new boy was having  a card  battle and Sakura won because she is the BEST card player like EVER!

Tautoro School Uniforms

I believe that  we should have uniforms at School.Do you agree?

Uniforms look good on people. They are tidy and make people stand out. This is a good thing!

The first reason why I think we should have a uniform is because we can get dressed faster in the mornings.  When we wake up  it takes us like 15 to twenty minutes to changed. On the other hand, if  we had uniforms it takes us three minutes to  get changed. Uniforms are easy to put on and we do not have to think about what we will wear.

The second reason why I think we should have uniforms is because they look smart. Uniforms look tidy. Everyone is in the same. We look like a team. Uniforms are tidy. For example, Kerikeri pupils have  green and white T-shirts and black shorts. Kura Kaupapa has purple T-shirts and black shorts. These guys always look tidy and neat.They stand out for their school.

The last reason why I think we should have uniforms  is  so when we go out of the school grounds  we are still carrying the Tautoro sigh. In other words,   wherever  we go we will be representing our kura. For example  , when we travel home, or walk up town we will be representing  Tautoro school. Kura Kaupapa  and Kerikeri high school will  not be  the only schools with a uniform on.

In summary, I believe that we should  have uniform, I think this because they make the mornings easier, we will look smart and we will represent Tautoro school.

Bok Choy.

 

I have been reading the book called the Bok Choy,it is written by Paul Mason.The type of book this  native book.This book is mostly about a man and a boy called Jacob and Ah sum,Jacob was a young boy and Ah sum is a gold miner. Jacob ends up in the Chinese village. Ah sum goes to pick some chinese cabbages  and Jacob doesn’t like them.The story is set in 1865 in Otago.Miss bishop  and her son william mock and be racist to Ah sum. Jacob was rescued by  Ah sum.

My favorite  part was when  Jacob meets Ah sum.Did you know that In the 1860s,miners from China came to New Zealand to mine for gold. What have you been reading this week??
