PARIHAKA.

Whaea Dawnette.

Whaea Dawnette

This is the worst day I had ever experienced in a school, losing the best admin officer.
We were waiting in the front of the marae to have a powhiri and as we walk into the marae we have to wait for the boys and I was standing there, waiting for the boys to hariru the people that was there and to respect Whaea Dawnette by kissing her or to touch her coffin and it was finally my turn and she was pale and to respect her I touched her coffin and carried on. We had finished and all of the matuas that had to talk had finished. As we finished uncle Bill stood  up and said his farewells and then we finished and it was our turn and matua Hemara had to acknowledge what whaea Dawnette did for us and we sang some songs.

Adjacent Angles

Definition: Two angles are Adjacent when they have a common side and a common vertex (corner point) and don't overlap.Angle ABC is adjacent to angle CBD. Because: they have a common side (line CB) they have a common vertex (point B)

Corresponding angles

Definition: The angles which occupy the same relative position at each intersection where a straight line crosses two others. If the two lines are parallel, the corresponding angles are equal.

Alternative angles

Definition: two angles, formed when a line crosses two other lines, that lie on opposite sides of the transversal line and on opposite relative sides of the other lines. If the two lines crossed are parallel, the alternate angles are equal.

Acute angles

Definition: The acute angle is the small angle which is less than 90°. If you choose the larger angle you. will have a Reflex Angle Instead: The smaller angle is an Acute Angle, but the larger angle is a Reflex Angle.

Right angle

Definition: an angle of 90°, as in a corner of a square, or formed by dividing a circle into quarters.

Obtuse angle

Definition: The obtuse angle is the smaller angle. It is more than 90° and less than 180°. The smaller angle is an Obtuse Angle, but the larger angle is a Reflex Angle. ... Types of Angles Acute Angles Right Angles Straight Angle Reflex Angles Degrees (Angle) Geometry Index.

Complementary angle

Definition: Either of two angles whose sum is 90°.
Vertical angle

Definition: Each of the pairs of opposite angles made by two intersecting lines.vg

Angles around a point

Definition: Angles around a point will always add up to 360 degrees. The angles above all add to 360° 53° + 80° + 140° + 87° = 360° Because of this, we can find an unknown angle.

Sum of angles in a triangle
Definition: In several geometries, a triangle has three vertices and three sides, where three angles of a triangle are formed at each vertex by a pair of adjacent sides. ... Its difference from 180° is a case of angular defect and serves as an important distinction for geometric systems.

Base of angles of an isosceles are always

Definition: In geometry, an isosceles triangle is a triangle that has two sides of equal length. Sometimes it is specified as having two and only two sides of equal length, and sometimes as having at least two sides of equal length, the latter version thus including the equilateral triangle as a special case

Supplementary angles add up too

Definition: Two angles are Complementary when they. add up to 90 degrees (a Right Angle ). These two angles (40° and 50°) are Complementary Angles, because they add up to 90°: Notice that together they make a right angle . But the angles don't have to be together.
Co-interior angles always add up to

Definition: Consecutive Interior Angles. When two lines are crossed by another line (called the Transversal): The pairs of angles on one side of the transversal but inside the two lines are called Consecutive Interior Angles.
The exterior angle of a triangle is always equal to the

Definition: The exterior angle theorem is Proposition 1.16 in Euclid's Elements, which states that the measure of an exterior angle of a triangle is greater than either of the measures of the remote interior angles. This is a fundamental result in absolute geometry because its proof does not depend upon the parallel postulate.

An isosceles triangle has ……… sides equal

Definition: In geometry, an isosceles triangle is a triangle that has two sides of equal length. Sometimes it is specified as having two and only two sides of equal length, and sometimes as having at least two sides of equal length, the latter version thus including the equilateral triangle as a special case.
An equilateral triangle has ….. Sides equal

Definition: In geometry, an equilateral triangle is a triangle in which all three sides are equal. In the familiar Euclidean geometry, equilateral triangles are also equiangular; that is, all three internal angles are also congruent to each other and are each 60°.
Straight angle

Definition: An angle of 180°.
Reflex angle

Definition: The reflex angle is the larger angle. It is more than 180° but less than 360° If you choose the smaller angle you might have an Acute Angle, or an Obtuse Angle instead: The larger angle is a Reflex Angle, but the smaller angleis an Acute Angle.

Revolution angle

Definition: A 360° angle, a full rotation, a complete turn so it points back the same way. Often used in the phrase "Revolutions Per Minute" (or "RPM") which means how many complete turns occur every minute.
