A DAY IN WAITANGI!!!

The time is 9:00 am and the whole school was going to Waitangi and the buses finally arrived, i
t was time to go to Waitangi. We got on the bus and went straight to the back,
we finally started to move and the bus as quieter than it often is.

We finally arrived and the bus stopped. We got off and it was hot like the steam coming out of a pot.
Monika (our tour lady, someone that works at Waitangi) started to talk and we finally made our
way inside and went straight to the top of the hill were the flagpole and the marae was.

We sat down in the heat and waited and waited well the
speakers finished until the Prime Minister (Jacinda Ardern) started to speak and well she
was speaking we were getting interviewed by maori television, then we went down to to the
nice cool Museum. We had a quick look around and found lots of information about the The treaty
of waitangi and our relations with some of the tupuna that signed the treaty.
We carried on in the museum and finally finished up in there and went back outside and went down
to have lunch down by the wakas for about 5-10 minutes and took some photos and went back to school.

What I felt when we were at the Waitangi treaty grounds was happy because the whole
school learnt more and lots of new stuff about the treaty of Waitangi or Te tiriti o Waitangi.
It was a cool and fun Day on Monday.

QUESTIONS and ANSWERS
What do I think is a treaty
I think at treaty is an agreement between the british and the Maori.

Why should/shouldn’t we celebrate waitangi day?
Yes,because we can  share our ahua with our people.
No, because it was the day that the english promised Partnership and the did not
honor that and they also promised Protect for our land and our people and Participation.

Hard Writing

WALT- Write a single bag storage
Single bag storage

A single bag storage is a product that can hold heavy bags with all of its contents in it.
Also using single bag storage is a activity that can help you be a scientist when you grow up.

Well, the way that we built it was a way using bamboo sticks and tape and also a measuring tape. We also had to make it a stable bamboo bag holder that had to be at less 300mm of the ground and you had to work as a group to complete the task that you were given. We had to communicate and participate in all the task we had to do, so that we could confident enough to at less have a chance to compete in the EPRO8 challenge.

Finally, It was challenging when I couldn't put all the parts together to make that light work. It was challenging because we were not working as a team and we were not paying attention to the instruction carefully.

Enjoyed swimming

Today I am learning to learn how to swim which is part of health and PE(Physical education). Here are some photos of our school swimming.

Glories Learning

Today I have been learning how to use a app called scratch Junior and today I have learnt that I can create new backgrounds. I have heard that you are interested in coding and I am going to share these screenshots of coding with you down below. Scratch Junior is a coding program that can help other people learn about what coding is. In here I am trying to make the penguin coming out of its home and going for a swim. (Haven't finished yet). Here they are.....

Here are some more examples of coding and in here there is a photo of my trying to move a car through coding.
